How to Iron Your Name on Your Soccer Jersey

Please follow these instructions to successfully finalize your request. For visual assistance, consult the video link located at the footer of this page.

1. Get Your Jersey Ready

Put your jersey on a flat, hard surface (an ironing board works best). Please don’t iron on any surface that can’t handle the heat. Make sure the jersey is clean and ready to go.

Turn your iron to medium heat. Do not use steam!

Warm the area where the name will go (under the number on the back of the jersey) for about 5 seconds. This helps remove moisture.

2. Place the Name

Put the vinyl name under the number on the back of the jersey.

Make sure the name is straight and centered.

This is important because once heat hits the vinyl, you can’t pull it off!

Place a piece of parchment paper over the name. This protects the jersey and the vinyl.

3. Iron the Name On

Press the iron firmly on top of the parchment paper.

Hold the iron in place for about 15–20 seconds, (longer if need be).

Move around the name until the whole design has been heated.

Tip: If you are not sure it is hot enough, carefully and quickly touch the top of the plastic cover. If it feels warm keep ironing, and the plastic starts to curl slightly, it’s had enough heat, pull the iron off immediately.

4. Remove the Plastic Cover

Wait around 20 seconds after removing the iron.

Slowly peel the clear plastic cover away from the jersey.

If any letters lift up, STOP!

Put the plastic back down.

Cover it with parchment paper again.

Iron for another 15–20 seconds.

Try peeling again slowly.

Repeat if needed.

If all letters are staying you are ready for the next step.

5. Final Press and Care

After the plastic is removed, place only the parchment paper back over the name.

Iron over it for another 15-20 seconds to secure the name on the jersey.

Wait 24 hours before washing.

Wash the jersey inside out with cold water.

Do not use bleach.

If a letter starts to come up, repeat the final press step (steps 1 & 2).

Take your time — slow and careful makes the name look the best!
